My New Interview on Know The Cause – Skin Cancer, Sugar Free Substitutes, and More

August 28, 2020 by Erin Porter

We filmed this interview back in February which marked almost the one year mark since I had Mohs surgery for cancer on my nose.  We talk about this on television’s Know the Cause today as well as my book that Doug (the host) wrote the foreword for.  Doug will also discuss childhood infections, the sugar free substitute Xylitol, and an antifungal drug helping to cure prostate cancer.  A little something for everyone!

Skin Cancer Facts from the skin cancer foundation:

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and worldwide.

  • 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer by the age of 70.
  • More than 2 people die of skin cancer in the U.S. every hour.
  • Having 5 or more sunburns doubles your risk for melanoma.
  • When detected early, the 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 99 percent.  The terrific surgeon who performed my surgery is Dr. Jonathon Lopez in, Florida

6 Weeks Post Mohs surgery

Nose 4 months Post Mohs surgery

I have since changed my skin care routine and ditched the makeup and even sunscreen that contains cancer causing ingredients.  If you would like to read the full story and what I use now see my post What happened to my face.

About Me

I have been fortunate enough to have been featured on national Television including PBS American Health Journal and Know the Cause, God TV, Christian Television Network and more. If you have any chronic disease that has not responded to traditional medicine there is often one cause that is often overlooked. This was the case for me and until I found my "cause" I would stay sick for decades. I am interested in sharing information on how to heal not only physically but emotionally as well. I have a degree in photography and besides my passion for photographing food, my other loves are my family, writing, helping others, and creating new healthy recipes. All of which gets to be played out by having EPGW. I am blessed to be living out my purpose! continue →
