How To Entice Your Teen to Eat More Vegetables (Video)

Written by Erin Porter

Most Teenagers Do Not Eat The Required Daily Amount of Vegetables

Do you wish your teen would eat healthier? Me too!  But there is a way and I will show you how to entice your teen to eat more vegetables.  My son is about to turn seventeen, and with a job, the use of my car, and some money in his pocket,  my car has never seen so many fast food parking lots!  Oh and I can’t leave out all the Circle K stops he’s been making and it isn’t  for the gasoline.  Yes, that Iphone tracker has been coming in pretty handy!

Bottom line is there isn’t a whole lot we can do about it.  We cannot be around to watch everything they put in their mouth.  We can teach our kids that every thing they eat has consequences on their health good or bad.  But then there comes a point we have to back off and let them learn for themselves, even if it’s the hard way.

An Easy Way To Get Teens To Eat More Vegetables

If you haven’t been following my blog for very long, I was the biggest junk food junkie there was.  When my son was barely out of kindergarten, I used to drag him on my junk food runs all the time.  My health was a disaster and I was unknowingly dragging him down the same path I was on.  Once I saw the light, I went into overdrive trying to reverse all the damage.  It’s not easy to one day just strip a child of their favorite cereal and donuts for dessert but we did it.  For the most part he loves eating healthy and he even asked me to keep him on track, which is where this smoothie comes in.  Getting all of this nutrition into him in the morning makes me feel much more relaxed about those Circle K donuts, or hotdogs, or gummy bears he’s eating.  If your child is new to juicing or smoothies, I suggest putting in tropical flavors (pineapple, banana, etc.)  It covers the flavors of the greens perfectly.

In case you missed it last month, below is a video below the juice I make for my son on most days.  I talk through my videos so have your sound on 🙂
