Do you believe God is concerned about illness? As you know I had battled chronic illness for decades and although I always believed in God, I sometimes wondered where he was and why he wasn’t immediately healing me. Looking back now, I am grateful he didn’t heal me the moment I asked. Yes, the road was tough, long, and sometimes very lonely, but I realize it was all a part of His plan. If I had been healed all those years ago, I would have continued my detrimental eating habits and my life probably would have taken on a different journey, one that probably helped no one. Instead my journey was one of research, ill- informed doctors, (with the exception of two great ones), misinformation, misdiagnosis,and scratching and clawing my way to health as if my life depended on it (and it did). If not for this tough journey of mine, there would be no Eat, Pray, Get Well, and EPGW is proof to me that God cares about our health.
