Taco Bowl (Kaufmann Diet Friendly)
When I first started the Kaufmann diet over a decade ago due to mold illness I was at a loss as to what to eat. Slowly I started building my recipe base and it became so easy to make dishes like this taco bowl Kaufmann diet friendly. I also love sharing what I learned about overcoming mold illness and I share my interview with Doug Kaufmann on Know the Cause below.
What You Need to Make Taco Bowls
- 1 lb. Ground Beef grass feed-antibiotic and hormone free
- Wick Fowlers Taco Seasoning contains no sugar, yeast, or anything artificial
- Large Lettuce Wraps
- Cilantro
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1 Can Black Beans
- 1 Tomato diced
- Mozzarella or Yogurt cheese shredded
- Jalapeno – optional
- Sour Cream – optional
- Salsa – optional

Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet on medium-high heat.
- While the meat is browning prepare your bowl by placing one large lettuce leaf inside a bowl.
- Dice tomato, cilantro, jalapeno, and avocado and set aside.
- Once the meat is brown add taco seasoning with a few tbsp. of water and stir until blended. Let cook additional 2 minutes.
- Add seasoned meat to your lettuce bowl then pile on desired amount of black beans, cheese, cilantro, tomato, onion, and avocado.
- Top with sour cream and salsa if desired.
This recipe is fine for Kaufmann 2 diet, also referred to as Kaufmann Phase 2.

Mexican Taco Bowl
