Supplements Worth Taking

Are you wondering if supplements are really worth it?  Supplements can play key role in overcoming health issues, and below are supplements worth taking in my opinion.  These are a few that had a profound impact in my healing my body after being exposed to toxic mold.  If you don’t know my story of head to toe symptoms and diagnosis’s, you can read my story or watch my television interview below on tv’s Know The Cause.

I’ve learned trying to restore your health to optimum status with food alone is difficult, and it’s impossible to do with just supplements alone while continuing to eat poorly.  But the two together, both a clean diet combined with the right supplements can be a powerful combination.  I will walk you through which supplements I believe are worth taking and why.

Supplements Worth Taking

NAD Cell Regenerator – helps to repair cellular DNA breaks.

Glutathione -Provides L-cysteine for liver support & oxidative defense

NAC -Promotes healthy cellular glutathione levels, powerful antioxidant support and supports the immune system

Senolytic Activator – This supplement is only taken once per week and can cleans out old cells (cellular debris) and reverse the aging process, promotes youthful, healthy cellular function, helps the body manage senescent cells

Microbalance Citri drops (spray or drops) – I have had FOUR sinus surgeries due to a 25 year plus sinus infection.  This helps keep my nose clear of bacteria, fungus, and helps build the bodies natural viral defenses.   They  have now added xylitol to their formula which is very exciting as it acts as a natural decongestant and is anti-fungal as well.   Xylitol also has the ability to bust through biofilms.

Mold test plates – this is obviously not a supplement but rather a great tool to have in your arsenal.  These mold test plates are cheap and easy to use.  Basically anything more than four colonies (dots) on your petri-dish can indicate you have a mold problem.  This company also provides further testing if you would like to know what type of mold you are dealing with.

NSC Beta Glucan Allergy Formula  (and their probiotics)- This is another supplement that changed my life!  If I could only pick two supplements to take it would be colostrum and this beta glucan (probiotics would be my third).  This one has really been a life changer for me.  Almost everything I ate caused an allergic reaction.  What does beta glucan do exactly?  When your immune system starts attacking harmless substances (like foods, environmental substances) your body releases histamine. Beta glucan helps your immune system decipher between harmful and harmless substances and boosts your immune system to fight off bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

Supplements For Mold Related Illness

Microbalance also has supplements specifically created to support the damage that can be done to the body including the pituitary gland, liver, gut and sinuses caused by mold.  This company was created by a physician (Dr. Donald Dennis) who specializes in mold toxicity.  He was the physician I mention helped me after I found myself still infected after my fourth sinus surgery.  Below are many of the supplements I took to help detox and support my body after toxic mold exposure.

Supplements For The Gut

Probiotics – Keep your gut healthy and your overall health will be improved!

Colostrum – Colostrum is actually proven to heal and seal leaky gut.  Note is is also recommend to not take probiotics for 4-6 weeks until your gut is healed.  This product hands down was one of the most important pieces to healing my sinuses.  I had a stubborn pseudomonas infection which kept returning no matter what antibiotic I took.  Personally, I believe it has something to do with the lactoferrin it contains, as lactoferrin is supposedly something that can penetrate the bio film of pseudomonas. It’s a little pricey but very much worth it, especially considering I spent over $30 dollars a month on Pepcid AC and Nexium back in the day.

On a side note, I no longer put toxic makeup and moisturizer on my face after skin cancer rocked my world.  If you missed my post about my experience with Mohs surgery and reconstruction, as well as what sunscreen and makeup I use now, you can read it here.
