Coconut Onion Rings
Recipe type: snacks
  • 1 onion sliced into rings
  • 1 organic egg
  • ½ cup Namaste Flour Blend
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp coconut milk
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1-2 tbsp grass fed butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  1. Slice onion into rings. Mix egg and coconut milk in a bowl and set aside. in a large skillet on medium - high heat melt butter and coconut oil. In a separate bowl mix Namaste flour with salt, pepper, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. Dip onion in egg batter then into flour. Place into oil once the oil is very hot. Fry on each side about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. I just mixed 2 -3 tablespoons of yogurt with red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
