Recently my sinus infection informed me that it is very happy and quite comfortable right where it is, and therefore has no intentions of moving out. I have no choice, I will need to bring out the big guns. And I’m not talking about antibiotics! If you follow me on instagram (@eatpraygetwell) I am doing a 30 day “back to basics” diet to rid myself of this infection. I am not giving in to antibiotics as I have been there (and done that) too many times to count. And if the conventional treatment plan for sinusitis actually worked, many of us would not be on sinus surgery number two, or three, or six. I will cut out all sugar except berries, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and green apples (these are the low sugar fruits). As well as no dairy, and no grains. So basically I will be consuming lots of fresh green salads, green juices, bone broth, organic grass fed meats, wild caught fish, vegetables, nuts and seeds, and of course plenty of water. If you’d like to follow along on instagram, I’ll be sharing all my meals throughout each day. I’ll also be adding colostrum for ultimate gut health, and nystatin (anti-fungal) to kill any candida that may exist. For anyone who has a stubborn infection and you’d like to come along with me on this 30 day journey we can do it together! There is power and support in numbers!
